“And in these days came prophets from Jerusalem unto Antioch. And there stood up one of them named Agabus, and signified by the Spirit that there should be great dearth throughout all the world: which came to pass in the days of Claudius Caesar. Then the disciples, every man according to his ability, determined to send relief unto the brethren which dwelt in Judaea:" (Acts 11:27-29).
The calling of prophet and gift of prophecy did NOT disappear with the apostles at the end of the first century AD. God Almighty (speaking through Peter and Paul) said that people would prophesy (foretell events and reveal His will) through His Holy Spirit until the second coming of Jesus Christ. This is what Peter preached on the day of Pentecost in Acts chapter two. As seen in the above passage from Acts 11, Agabus the prophet was given a warning by the Holy Spirit of a great famine that would take place throughout the entire world. God’s disciples that heeded the warning were able to prepare for that difficult time before it was too late. It was an act of God’s love and mercy to give a prophetic warning through a New Testament prophet.
Today is no different. God has His true prophets scattered throughout the body of Christ all over the world. Warnings have come for many decades from godly men and women. Are there a lot of false and immature prophets? Absolutely! But that does not mean that we should despise prophesying or quench the gifts of the Holy Spirit among us. We have to be wise and discerning, but we need to be open to the true gift of prophecy in the church.
As I have shared before, I am not ashamed to say that God called me to be a prophet even before I was born. He revealed this to me in 1987 and since then He has given me dreams, visions, and words of prophecy that have come to pass. Recently, the Lord Jesus gave me a word of prophecy on December 31, 2013 that 2014 would be a year of UNPRECEDENTED events in warfare, terrorism, government, economy, the environment and in the church (read prophecy here: http://www.deanodle.org/Word-for-2014-Unprecedented.html). Since then, there have been numerous UNPRECENDENTED events in many areas. The Holy Spirit showed me that these events would come on all levels so that is exactly what I shared on Facebook that night and then in an article posted on deanodle.org.
Unprecedented Weather
Amazingly, it did not take long to see the first major fulfillment of this word from God. Just two days later, on January 2, 2014, North America experienced an unprecedented polar vortex that pushed its way down and set record low temperatures across the United States, Canada, and Northern Mexico. Here are some excerpts from Wikipedia about the cold wave of 2014…
"On January 2, an Arctic cold front initially associated with a nor'easter, tracked across Canada and the United States, resulting in heavy snowfall. Temperatures fell to unprecedented levels, and low temperature records were broken across the United States. Business, school, and road closures were common, as well as mass flight cancellations. Altogether, more than 200 million people were affected, in an area ranging from the Rocky Mountains to the Atlantic Ocean and extending south to include roughly 187 million residents of the Continental United States.
Beginning on January 2, 2014, sudden stratospheric warming (SSW) led to the breakdown of the regular polar vortex and subsequent southward movement of tropospheric Arctic air. This event led to record low temperatures. On January 7, at least 49 record lows for the day were set across the country. On the night of January 6–7, Detroit hit a low temperature of −14 °F (−26 °C) breaking the records for both dates. The high temperature of −1 °F (−18 °C) on January 7 was only the sixth day in 140 years of records to have a subzero high. On January 7, 2014, the temperature in Central Park in New York City was 4 °F (−16 °C). The previous record low for the day was set in 1896, twenty-five years after records began to be collected by the government. Pittsburgh bottomed out at −9 °F (−23 °C), setting a new record low on January 6–7. Cleveland also set a record low on those dates at −11 °F (−24 °C). Temperatures in Atlanta fell to 6 °F (−14 °C), breaking the old record for January 7 of 10 °F (−12 °C) which was set in 1970. Temperatures fell to −6 °F (−21 °C) at Brasstown Bald, Georgia. Although the cold air moderated, the cold temperatures even reached subtropical Florida, where Tampa had a low of 34 °F (1 °C) in January 2014."
Just a month later, I discovered that we were not alone in our unprecedented weather when I saw a Jerusalem Post article on February 10, 2014 entitled, “Israel Experiencing Unprecedented Drought Conditions.” And then on March 6, 2014, The Guardian reported, “Queensland drought spreads to an unprecedented 80% of the state: Drought-declared area is now the largest in the beleaguered state’s history as state minister works to tap federal help.” On May 2, 2014, Accuweather.com posted, “Unprecedented: 100% of California is in a Drought” and other articles have stated that it is only going to get worse for California through the summer. This is very serious because California produces a great deal of fresh fruits and vegetables for the United States. In fact, our food prices have already been increasing because of this drought.
Distress of Nations
Since January, we have seen several unprecedented events in the banking industry. There has been a rash of high-profile bankers “committing suicide” and being murdered. More than thirty bankers lost their lives in just the last several months (this number does not include family members who were killed with them). Even Autumn Radtke, the 28-year-old American CEO of the Bitcoin exchange firm First Meta, was found dead in her Singapore apartment on February 28th. It seems that many who have been privy to the plans for the coming global “financial reset” are being silenced. I have no doubt that this is a purge among the Illuminati bankers that signals the coming engineered economic collapse. This collapse will move us to the use of an implanted microchip for all financial transactions, i.e. the mark of the Beast (Revelation 13).
The year became even more unprecedented when in March, we saw the Russian bear rise up and take Crimea from the Ukraine. This was truly a big surprise to many across the world and revived the tensions of the Cold War. However, it was not as big of surprise to those who know that Russia plays a large part in the end-times scenario. Since this unprecedented move by the post-Glasnost Russia, there has been what Russian President Vladimir Putin calls an “unprecedented” NATO build up in Eastern Europe. And the rhetoric of nuclear war and WW3 has increased dramatically on all sides.
In other world news, radical al-Nusra Muslims has taken over most of Syria and 95% of the Syrian border between Israel. The ISIS Muslims have taken over Iraq with their brutal blitzkrieg and are threatening Jordan and Israel and declaring a new Islamic Caliphate. When you add in what is happening in the Middle East we can certainly say that the world is witnessing unprecedented events in military, terrorism and politics. However, the stage is being set for even bigger events in the Middle East. The coming unprecedented events like the destruction of Damascus and World War 3 were foretold in the Bible prophecies of Revelation 9 and Ezekiel 38-39.
Deception in the Church
When we take a look at the religious world of 2014 we see that Mystery Babylon the Mother Harlots, the Great Whore (also known as the Roman Catholic Church) has displayed her idolatry in some “unprecedented” ways in 2014. On April 27th, CBS News posted an article, “Pope Francis makes John Paul II, John XXIII saints in unprecedented dual canonization at Vatican.” This event was one of the largest displays of man-worship and idol worship that I have ever seen. They had idolatrous relics of John Paul II’s blood and the dead flesh of John XXIII for the crowds to venerate (which means worship). It also highlighted the demonic miracles that some deceived people received from praying to these dead men. This is also very significant because many believe that Pope Francis is the False Prophet who will work with the Antichrist and the coming world government.
And then on June 8th, Pope Francis held a prayer ceremony for peace with Israeli President Shimon Peres and Palestinian President Mamoud Abbas. During this ceremony the reading of the Koran and Islamic prayers were allowed at the Vatican for the first time. This came after Pope Francis blasphemed the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and the clear teaching of the Bible by stating that even atheists will go to heaven without ever believing or confessing Jesus Christ as their Lord and their God. As Jesus warned about the last days, “Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many… for there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall show great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect. Behold, I have told you before” (Matthew 24:4-5, 24-25).
Pestilence
Furthermore, the Lord Jesus also forewarned in Matthew 24 that there would be an outbreak of plagues in the last days just prior to the great tribulation and His return. Just today, CNN posted this article about the Ebola outbreak that began in March, “Ebola virus: Can nations stop deadliest ever outbreak from spreading?” The article states, “African ministers and health experts are meeting in Ghana with one thing on their minds: how to stop the biggest ever outbreak of the Ebola virus from extending its deadly reach still further. The World Health Organization has warned that "drastic action" is needed to halt the killer in its tracks. It reports there have been 759 cases, including 467 deaths, in Guinea, Sierra Leone and Liberia as of June 30. The outbreak began in March.
This makes it the "largest in terms of the number of cases and deaths as well as geographical spread," said WHO. Not only is it uncontained, but this strain of the Ebola virus can kill up to 90% of those infected…
The scientist who first discovered the Ebola virus in the 1970s, Dr. Peter Piot, told CNN’s Christiane Amanpour that the situation is “unprecedented”… "One, [this is] the first time in West Africa that we have such an outbreak," he said. "Secondly, it is the first time that three countries are involved. And thirdly it's the first time that we have outbreaks in capitals, in capital cities."
Great Earthquakes Double in 2014
The Lord Jesus Christ also prophesied the rise of great earthquakes in the last days leading up to His return, "And great earthquakes shall be in divers places, and famines, and pestilences; and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven" (Luke 21:11). And herein is yet another unprecedented event for the first three months of 2014: CBS News posted on July 1, 2014, "Big Earthquakes Double in 2014." Of course the scientists try to minimize the significance, in the light of Bible prophecy, this is HUGE! Here is an excerpt from the CBS article:
"If you think there have been more earthquakes than usual this year, you're right. A new study finds there were more than twice as many big earthquakes in the first quarter of 2014 as compared with the average since 1979.
"We have recently experienced a period that has had one of the highest rates of great earthquakes ever recorded," said lead study author Tom Parsons, a research geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Menlo Park, California.
The average rate of big earthquakes -- those larger than magnitude 7 -- has been 10 per year since 1979, the study reports. That rate rose to 12.5 per year starting in 1992, and then jumped to 16.7 per year starting in 2010 -- a 65 percent increase compared to the rate since 1979. This increase accelerated in the first three months of 2014 to more than double the average since 1979, the researchers report."
There are other things that I could go into that are “unprecedented” such as Obama’s executive orders, the manufactured US/Mexico border crisis, the move of China and Russia away from the US Dollar, Iran inching closer to building a nuclear bomb, United Nations intervention in Detroit, the ongoing mishandling and failure to contain Fukushima radiation, the IRS scandal, and the out-of-control rise in the persecution and killing of Christians worldwide. And the Lord has reminded me that the year is not over yet and there is much to come.
God spoke to me a few weeks ago and said, “Watch Portland Oregon.” I do not know what that means yet, but I do sense that we are very near a major terror attack on US soil. I have seen visions from God of cities on the east and west coasts of the United States destroyed and I have had dreams of a nuclear attack. I am not saying that Portland will be the first city hit, but the Lord said to watch it. I know from other prophecies and visions that the US economy will crash and we are headed to some degree of martial law in America. I don’t know if the crash and martial law is part of the 2014 prophecy, but I would not be surprised if any of it happened sooner than most think. And according to Bible prophecy and the events on the ground, it appears that the situation in the Middle East will heat up more and more until Israel is forced to take action.
So, we can see that the message the Lord Jesus gave me about 2014 being unprecedented is being fulfilled and there is more to come. God shared this warning and the many warnings in His Bible so that we would believe in Him and prepare for eternity. There are so many people who think that they are ready to die or that they are ready for Jesus to come back…but they are not. I am more convinced of this than ever before. So many say they are Christians, but their lives are full of sin, lust, and idols. Many of these “Christians” spend more time reading the demonic Twilight novels and Filthy Shades of Grey (misspelled on purpose) than they read their Bibles. They spend more time watching movies, playing video games, and chatting about worthless things than they do seeking to know the Lord Jesus Christ who died on a cross for them. They refuse to repent and get out of their sexual immorality or their weekend drunkenness, yet they think they are going to make it into heaven. But this is what Jesus said about all of that mess:
"Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that DOETH the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity" (Matthew 7:21-23).
“If any man come to me, and hate not (in comparison to their love for Jesus) his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple. And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple" (Luke 14:26-27).
“But and if that servant say in his heart, My lord delayeth his coming; and shall begin to beat the menservants and maidens, and to eat and drink, and to be drunken; The lord of that servant will come in a day when he looketh not for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in sunder, and will appoint him his portion with the unbelievers” (Luke 12:45-46).
Therefore, the only hope and the only possible "safe place" in this world is to be in Jesus Christ. To do that, you must first believe that His death on the cross was for your sin. You must believe the Scriptures and that Jesus Christ rose bodily from the grave on the third day. You must humbly confess and turn from your sins and truly let the blood of the Lord Jesus cleanse you from your sins and you must submit to Him, letting Him be your Lord and your God. To be saved for all eternity, we must be found in Jesus Christ, holy and walking in obedience. The days of God's final judgments and wrath are almost upon us. It is time to get serious about the Lord because eternity in heaven or hell is at stake.
Prayer for forgiveness and salvation:
“Lord Jesus, I believe You are God Almighty the Creator Who came in the flesh. Jesus, You were born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, healed the sick, cast out demons, raised the dead, and died on the cross bearing my sins. You rose from the dead three days later. To You Lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I confess my sins and the evil committed against You and others like _________________ (be specific) even though I know that I don't deserve Your forgiveness. I choose to obey Your command to repent and change the way I live. I want to be a new person, washed in Your blood and born again by Your Holy Spirit. Please forgive me and make me new. Lord, from this point on I will become a disciple who learns, believes, and obeys Your Words in the Bible both Old and New Testaments. I give up my old life and habits and start a new one with You. Thank You for faith and the confirming witness of the Holy Spirit that I will receive. Lord God, please give me the strength to go through whatever trials, tests, suffering, rejection or persecution that I might face for boldly standing for the name of Jesus Christ and the Bible. Amen."
